David Bach and his grandmother have the keys to a happy life and financial empowerment. This book should be required reading for all women. Hollis Colquhoun author of "Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide"
This book is required reading for every woman who also wants to hit a home run. The information is sound. It's easy to understand. If the steps are followed they will make any client Finish Rich.As an idea you can begin making a million just mopping:Mopping Up Millions.: Making A Killing In Cleaning -
While there are many good ideas in this book and it contains sound philosophy, the present economy has rendered some of the advice suspect. IRAs are one focus but when I went to my bank to discuss getting one, I found that money market accounts were getting a better interest rate currently than IRA's. Charts and tables given have people earning 10% interest for example. I wish. and with a money market account the funds are available if you need them before retirement age. With updating, the book would be very good and helpful but as is, I am not sure if it has good information or not.
This book provides solid financial advice for everyone, but it is obviously targeted toward women. The author borrows a lot of ideas from his previous book Smart Couples Finish Rich. This is another great book by David Bach. It addresses issues that women are concerned about. I absolutely love the answer that the author's mom gave him when he asked her,"What really makes the world go round - money or love."Her reply was, "David, love is what makes life special.but without money you are in deep trouble."This is so true, but unfortunately our educational system fails to educate us about money. When it comes to money we are on our own. - Mariusz Skonieczny, author of Why Are We So Clueless about the Stock Market. Bach's tone was anything but condescending--very refreshing. I hesitantly picked this book up after the catchy title and cover art. I also liked his checklists--very useful and well-written. As a tax and financial planner by trade, I was pleasantly surprised when I read it. For the first time in a long time, it was great to read a self-help financial book that wasn't talking down to its readers. I liked it so much that I purchased it for a couple of clients as well as a friend.
